The latin at the beginning already proposes that the person believes in Jesus, and is religious.
Give me release- She’s asking God to release her from her sick body.
Witness me- She’s asking Him to judge her.
I am outside- Her spirit is outside of her body, and she is stuck between life and death.
Give me peace- She’s asking God to accept her, so she can be at peace.
Heaven holds a sence of wonder- She wonders what it’s like in heaven.
And I wanted to believe that I’d get caught up when the rage in me subsides- She believes she will go to heaven when she releases from this great pain that’s raging inside of her (when she dies).
Passion chokes the flower till she cries no more- Cigarettes (her passion) slowly choked her to death. She was fragile, like the flower.
Possessing all the beauty, hungry still for more- Possessing all the beautiful things life gave her, that wasn’t enough to her; and was craving for more passion.
I can’t help this longing- She can’t wait anymore now, ready to die and go to heaven.
Comfort me- She’s asking for God to take her, asking for death.
I can’t hold it all in if you won’t let me- She can’t live like this anymore, the state of her body (pain) and mind (longing to find peace). Can’t hold on to life anymore if He doesn’t let her go to heaven soon enough, so considering suicide.
In this white wave I am sinking, in this silence- She is dying and being overwhelmed with this bright light. She can’t see or hear anymore (white wave and silence), she is losing her senses, a connection with her body, and her spirit is left to linger here and find out if God will take her to heaven.
In this white wave, in this silence I believe- She believes she will go to heaven.
I have seen you in this white wave, you are silent
You are breathing in this white wave
I am free
She finally sees God in the white light of silence. He’s alive and existing (breathing) and has come for her, and she is on her way to heaven. She finally finds peace and freedom.
