In my opinion, and I think it is backed by the video, this is about someone who wants to escape the reality.
I assume it is the reality of a new relationship on the edge of being born, although it seems like it is doomed from the start.
So maybe she is still in another relationship and dreaming it might become something better although she deeply knows it is not going to happen. As she says he's just a way to keep on dreaming, even to keep on breathing.
