When I first heard this song, it reminded me of the relationship I was in at the time. In this case, he just became way to attached way to quickly and already said that he loved me, even though we had just met a week ago. And although I knew form the beginning that we weren't really in sync and never would be, I continued dating him. So the line "you don't know who I am" started out for me as "you just really don't know me that well", but turned into "I'm hiding the fact that I already know this isn't working, and I'm a terrible person for not ending it now".
