I remember reading somewhere that he originally wrote this song as a powerful ballad, but after getting so drunk during the album recording that it turned into what it is today.
That leads me to believe that this is some kind of love ballad, but... the lyrics are pretty interesting to me.
The whole song seems to tell the story of a man who loves someone, but they won't return his affections.
The song gives off a pretty creepy, controlling vibe...
If we take a look at the lines:
"I can't stand no runnin' around"
and "I don’t care if you don’t want me
I’m yours, right now"
Both of these suggest he's trying to manipulate the person he loves into loving him, and only him, despite that they might not return his affections.
I feel like "I put a spell on you" line could be referring to some kind of manipulative drug, but it's likely just referring to alcohol, and the concept of getting somebody drunk enough to manipulate them into returning your affections.
All in all, I really love the song, despite what it might represent.
What do you guys think of my interpretation?
