I personally feel that this song is about someone who has schizophrenia, and I was constantly paranoid with the feeling that "everybody's watching me." It seems like her try's to keep it "subtle as I can," but when he finds himself alone, he can't help feeling this way. But that's just my opinion I don't know for sure.
