I think it's about sex in space, but also about dying while it happens; the sombre, helpless riff while he sings 'you're on fire, you're on fire' would suggest maybe they're having sex as a star explodes and kills them! Would be typical Mastodon - take something fun but give it real emotion too. Great song, anyway.
