IMO it seems like a crazy relationship with extreme ups and downs, that both parties rushed into "headlong" without thinking it through.

BUT I'm a hopeless romantic so I tend to see everything as being about relationships in some way, so take that with a grain of salt. Regardless, it's a damn good song. I used to be too much of a snob to enjoy simpler rock tunes like this, but now I've grown up a bit. :P
