Its about a relationship where one keeps going back to a person, and it never works. There are a few of HIM's other songs which are about the same thing, including "Passion's Killing Floor".

The first two lines set the tone - despite the fact that they came out of a bad relationship with each other, they're going back because they hope they can fix it this time around, and be happy together. The next two lines seem to imply that while Ville is hurting and suffering, the other person, knowing he loves them, doesn't seek to remedy the problems they're facing. They just say "If you love me, you'll stay, because I need you". They appeal to his sympathy for their hurt, and "deceive" him into staying by making promises they won't or can't keep - that everything will get better.

Ville wants to leave, but he can't bring himself to. He keeps being drawn back in by the person's charms, by their sadness... and by the pain he knows that he himself will face if he leaves this precious person.

Eventually, however, he's had enough. He realises it was all a farce, so he's going to break all the rules of that which was once called "love". And the only rule was that he couldn't leave.

So he says "Tell me how much you miss my warmth, my kiss, (no more)." No more pain, no more bullshit, no more guilt trips and sad stories to soften my heart.
