Call me stupid but I just realized this. The ENTIRE song is metaphorical to the first line: "I'm your dolly."... incase you didn't realize that.
"Press on my heart, I will say" - the buttons inside a doll you press.
"I'm hard headed, But completely soft inside" - plastic head, soft stuffing.
etc, etc...
@FCP17 Yep, and continuing the metaphor its about being used and tossed aside, like a toy would be. I think dolly may have a double meaning as well, as in dolly like a suitcase based on the 'stuffed with extra baggage' bit. It's a clever way to say emotional baggage while sticking with the neglected toy metaphor.
