I think MSF's take is on the right path, but there is more in my opinion.
Many Christians "believe" they are living a good life, but good deeds is not the passage to Heaven. The song implies recognizing the sins of this life and realizing a life in Heaven begins now .... not in the afterlife. Why wait? And in the excitement of this personal revelation, live it openly and loud. "I cant just shut it up and fake that I'm alright" ... sharing it with others and suggesting that everyday is a chance to make the same commitment. Why wait?
But where I think it comes back to MSF's suggestion of living in the here and now and LIFE is the recognition that LIFE is precious and will end. Have you made your commitment to Christ and lived it, or are you faking it? Are you ... "ready now?" Because if your life ended today, the Afterlife may be too late ...
