Everybody interprets songs to how they are feeling.
The meaning to me:
Two people have fallen in love,
But for whatever reason their love is forbidden and can never be e.g already married.
So they try and fight the feeling...
But they cant, they keep getting drawn back together. They know that the end will not be good... either because it ends by being heartbroken because they cant have each other... or because it hurts other people.
It is very wrong... but it makes sense... it seems right
if our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy.
if our love is insanity, why are you my clarity.
