Maybe this song is about someone who is suffering with depression or suicidal thoughts. In the song, he says "Aurora my love, I'm leaving", personally to me this depicts that he doesn't want to hurt her any more with how he feels, emotionally. He loves her and doesn't want to be a cause of pain to her.
Also,
"You can tell me how to think
Like I am your patient
And you are my shrink" makes me think he feels he is burdening her with his emotional trauma. It alsô shows reliance on his part, like he needs to know what she thinks about him.
However, another point I found was
"But the more you guide my hand
The less I'll understand"
I thought this could mean the longer he stays with her, the less he will understand about his conditions.
Lastly,
"Aurora my love, I'm leaving.
Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?"
This could show that he is serious about what he feels. "I'm leaving" could imply that he is leaving this world, ie, suicide, or he s just leaving her.
"Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?" He wants her to enjoy being away from him. He loves her enough to leave for the benefit of both of them.
Personally, this song is relatable to me. I feel like it was written about me. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
