Lyric discussion by naivelistener

There it stood, a testament to his father taken to early. A wooden craft, left to wither and die in storage, out of place. The son gave his life to this vessel, "The Albatross". The sea called to him and he answered, hoping to find what had been lost. He left his wife and son in pursuit of closure, though all he found was anger in the gentle swells. The sea's indifference infuriated him. He wanted his father back from the blue. In the end he found the depths did not return the fallen. Instead they took another father so they may call another son.
