Cover art for Looking Around lyrics by Kate Tucker and the Sons Of Sweden

I think this could have two different meanings, I'm a bit unsure. I'm not very good at interpreting songs. >.<

This was my first interpretation: Two friends are trying to find love (You were always looking around, I was always looking around), but aren't having much luck with their relationships (So you're heavy on the breakdown and its no Roman holiday this time). The reason why is because they aren't judging the people on how strong their feelings are (Why we always looking around when love is on the inside?). She realizes that all that time, they had feelings for each other, but weren't quite aware (I can feel your beating heart beating in mine). She wants him to know that their relationship is different because they have feelings on the inside (Baby, if I take you low, I'll take you real high).

However, I'm leaning more towards this interpretation: they are already in a relationship and he is thinking about leaving her because of a fight or something (Wait, go easy on the ending). She's trying to tell him that love has it's ups and downs (There's a storm that opens up the sky...Love, it takes a lot of mending When there's a heavy low for every high). She wants to let him know that it is not over yet and that it will get better (Baby. if I take you low, I'll take you real high.). Rather than looking at how their relationship and flaws are as a whole, they should focus on how they feel for each other on the inside (why we always looking around when love is on the inside?). She's telling him that if he leaves, he might regret it later (When the lightning strikes you, will you be ready to go? 'Cause it will get inside you, you really wanted to know).
