It seems like a woman talking to her ex (rapist!?), who she's had a baaad relationship with, years after they parted ways. He's is trying to get 'his' child from her. He's "gotten himself straight" after all this time, and feels like he can come back into her life, but she's not planning on letting him. "I'm not the one to continue on."
