I just want to say, Eyedea did NOT kill himself. He overdosed. Street drugs can have varying levels of purity, and if you're used to getting 40% purity and all of a sudden you get 80% you can easily take too much and die. It is a common thing that happens to people (not that I condone it) such as Heath Leger, or more recently Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Stop trying to understand the lyrics like they were a suicide note. Sure Eyedea did drugs, but so do a lot of people. Don't take away from his thought provoking lyrics by reading/listening to it with a judgmental lens. Open your mind to his world, he was a very, very wise person and I would of given anything to speak with him.
