He's heading towards the beach and then away for the weekend. It's a bit ambiguous but I would say that he's first heading west then heading down to LA from SF.

The Santa Ana winds are a nice reminder of all the other times he's made this trip.

Have a snooze and we'll be there before you know it. The more I listen to it, there is only one (much) younger girl. She loves him but he's on the fence or holding back.

The weekend's on me (and like Tijuana) it's cheap but not free. Spasm is more like an impulse. He's old enough to know by now but can't help it especially when it's right there for the taking.

His friends say grow up and stop messin' with those young chicks. Cotton candy means the girls much too young. Not necessarily underage but much younger than him. Love is not a game for three: It's just you and me this weekend and I'm almost at the point of no return anyway: fully in love.

He will live and learn regardless of the bridges he burns or the mistakes he's made. Almost over the fence and in love: the point of no return and this weekend away will make it that much harder.

Great tune, reminds me of a sweet 20 year old I was hooking up with. Just out of the house, bright eyed and ready to experience the world but then she falls in love and wants to settle down. You've got to keep your distance because you know it's not right for her regardless of how she feels about you. It's nice but it isn't realistic and it won't end well.
