I guess I know so much about this song because I am in a similar situation as the singer. I dated this girl for only a few weeks before she called it off even though I still felt love between us.

Then I started to think about her at the most random times during the day which is similar to, "I saw your face and I can't erase all the things I've seen." Also just like "Even if I try... I can't escape," I just can't get over her.
