It bothered me for a long time when I would hear this song. When she sings "what's the matter, hurt yourself?" I knew I'd heard that before.
Finally, I realized that the delivery of "hurt yourself" is almost dead-on Nirvana's Polly. (Let me take a ride / hurt yourself)
Same tone, same melody, etc. I assume she sang it this way unconsciously. That's how music travels through time and space.
