Dust Motes Lyrics

I believe this song is about rape..

There's a vulture at the end of my bed It's 5am, It thinks I'm dead Against the window in silhouette There's a vulture that would have me asleep It's looking at me like I'm some piece of meat

this song is written as a diary of a traumatized rape victim, it is a bit symbolic but you can break through the words.. when he says:

"Everybody says I'll be alright, I don't think so"

which means that he\she will never get over the incident, not until:

If you die If you die I'll forgive you I'll forgive you

that the victim wants their rapist dead so they can finally be at peace. I think this a very deep emotional song and I can't seem to get over it .. but this is just the way I see it .. it can have a totally different meaning but no one can get inside the head of the great Tim Booth I guess :) that man is a genius.
