Selfishness is one of the most annoying traits someone can have. People who you feel are your best friends never give back to you as much as you give to them. And when you look at greed at a societal/macro-level, it might just be what will destroy us all. And the US is a good place to live, still, I guess, some parts of it, I'm canadian and I've went often down south, some place sucks so terribly I wouldn't even ask a random person what time it is or how to get to a certain place.
Huge urban centers are the same in Canada though, but the US is the one with the power to enable its endless greed.
