I recall long ago Simon LeBon always hoped that his lyrics would remembered and studied as poetry. He really, in fact, wrote many music lyrics of such a metaphysical nature questioning conventional reality constructs that, like "The Sound of Thunder", have been poetic masterpieces lost in plain sight.
