Tube Snake Boogie is about a style of dance made popular in the early to mid 70's. Tube snake is slang for surf board and when you re-position yourself on the board, you don't take your feet off the board, you kinda slide them. It translate to the dance floor, you heels are together and your feet are pointed out like \/, then toes together and heels apart /. You pivot one foot on the toes and the other on the heel, then switch toe and heel. \/ /\ \/ /\ and you can go left or right across the floor \/\/\/\/\/\ w/o lifting your feet off the dance floor, similar to James Brown's slide. This dance was used by both guys and gals and lent itself well to the boogie beat of Z.Z.Top songs like "BBQ", "La Grange" and other songs by other artists that had a boogie beat. It was very popular in Texas, duh, back then. At least that's what the girls, there in Texas, called it, and that was years before they wrote the song.
