Cover art for 3 Legs lyrics by Paul McCartney

This song is definitely about John Lennon & the Beatles. My dog got three legs, but he can't run. (The Beatles?) Well I thought you was my friend, but you let me down. (Definitely Lennon) When I fly above the clouds, you could knock me down with a feather. (Lennon getting high, stoned)...but you know it's not allowed (don't anyone dare take a shot at St. John Lennon, Paul is the bad one, it was all him)

Fact is that Paul was a bit too heavy handed trying to take over running the band after Brian Epstein died. This caused a lot of resentment from the rest of the boys. But it was John who broke up the band with his drug addiction, going far astray of the band and his involvement with detrimental outside forces, most importantly Yoko Ono. John, like most addicts that are systematically destroying everything they hold near and dear in their lives, took his vitriol (that he had for himself) out on Paul. Probably the one relationship he hated most losing.
