Cover art for Pretty Done lyrics by Alice in Chains

This song is from Lucifer/satan's point of view, cursing god and his plan, about his fall, and being done with god's orders.(Pretty DONE!)

"So you got the thing you wanted Don't let it go" "Though it hurts your hand to hold it Don't let it show" ::::::>>>>>God created him and now he has discarded him from heaven.God never shows any weakness(because he has none).Lucifer/satan doesn't agree with this, and claims himself the almighty, thinking his power and supremacy was not acknowledged by god in heaven over the others, for which god was hurt holding him in heaven and so he threw him out of heaven.

"I'm pretty done Once a favored son/sun I'm pretty done Slap me 'round for fun" (listen to the snarling manner of singing)

::::::::>>>>>he's pretty done with the following the orders of god,and for this disobedience he is slapped around by god.(since satan thinks god is against him-and he is against god and he likes disturbing god's creation,he thinks god also likes pushing him around)

"Finding no pleasant changes In old enemies/we're known enemies Not a lead a bit part playing In my life story"

::::::::::>>>>He himself does'nt like his foe-ship with god but he hates not playing the lead part in his story and so he has disrupted and confused the script by subtlelity and subliminality(because he is wise and for which he is not acknowledged by god) of his story.

"I don't care to further amuse you Never had you how could I lose you Paid in full(or blatantful???there is no such word as it is grammatically wrong), I owe no one at all" (snarling manner of singing, again)

These lines are very important: ::::::::>>>>Being pretty done with following of orders and being a disobedient one he doesn't care to further amuse him in being part of his plan. The next lines(Never had you....at all) are to justify his hate and arrogance since he himself knows, that without god he would have never came to existence....but being blatant...he owes no one at all.(beautiful solo, yeah!!)

"I'm supposed to smile and ignore it Better than some" ::::::::::>>>>His cruel style is better that god.(Sublime in his own way) ............................................. My alternate lyrics: "I'm supposed to smile, having no riddle benevolent sun" Note:I have interpreted these lines by hearing differently.(are these lines subliminal???) .......................................... "High roads are far to fall from Already hung" It is easier to find satan and his ways than god, there are no riddles, and also since he is a humanitarian, there is benevolence for his followers, who go against god. "High roads are far to fall from Already hung" Despite losing many battles against god he has hung to his task, and the high roads from which he fell are now far(he managed to hang in his fall) and his path is still leading him to his wanted victories.

"Pushing forward hopeless mission Curiosity, omission History colored since the fall"

::::::>>>>CLIMAX of the song:Satan's understanding of nature is great because of his constant experiments with god's creation........but his experiments are only lead by evil curiousness for which he is left out.But history of mankind is nothing without him,and would have never came to it's present condition without his constant occurring. It is just colored since his fall from heaven. The whole universe is affected by his fall. The most historical event. (but he's going to get a 1000 years in jail....according to bible....i guess)

This is just my opinion and interpretation on the following hypothesis. The song fits adequately though.LAST thing :Cantrell ROCKS!!! Note:LUCIFER/Satan symbolizes EGO.
