Alright so I thought for a very long time that this song was about his father is the story cheating on his mother, at a bar called 'The Copper Coin'. But according to the storyline from the research i have been doing it doesn't seem like it, I think the main focus is him battling with his alcohol addiction and how it is tearing him away from his mother and eating away at him. obviously the only thing that contradicts that is the line 'Years later she took your name', which is talking about marriage. I am pretty lost as well but I love defeater
