@Skoorb Amanda had many songwriters from Sony/Epic writing on her first album, I believe she only wrote “Sittin’ on Top of the World”. She probably heard the song and wanted to record it. I also thought the same thing, as she’s Canadian.
Birmingham is known for it’s Jazz and the song has some great saxophone featured in it

Great song. I wonder why as a Canadian she chose Birmingham, as the city. Anybody know?
