"27 club" is a group of musicians who have died at age 27 (there's a list on wikipedia). Jason was 27 when this was written/released. Kurt Cobain, who is part of the 27 club, wrote "it's better to burn out than to fade away" in his suicide note and it's part of this song. A lot of the song is Jason talking about how he would die and it even resembles a suicide note in some ways. Then, and this part is just my interpretation, I think he changes his mind from "After you kill one..." on. From there, it seems his attention has shifted from dying to living and he talks about beating depression/death and living life to the fullest.
