The way I interpreted it just now when listening to it, was that it is about the arrival of his child.
The part about freedom and losing their world, is how he and his wife lose their freedom as a child obviously takes all your attention and time.
The Kawaii part is about the child itself, as kawaii can mean cute or something in that vein in Japanese, and well, a child is such a sweet thing (as long as it's not crying and screaming like crazy :P ).
The arrival, new arrival, arrive safe part speaks for itself I think. The child is coming soon, and he wants the birth to go well.
Another thing that strikes me about Ghost, is how some of the songs, like this one for example (but especially Feather), sound like they could be lullabies you sing to your young kids, so that would be fitting.
