I was asked the other day by a friend of mine why the song was entitled Atlas if the word is never mentioned in the song. The answer is simple, however this is a good question if you're not a mythology buff, so I thought I'd share it. The line "I'll carry your world" is the key to the title. In Greek mythology, the titan, Atlas, holds up the sky, or carries the world if you will. So, in a clever reference to the titan in Greek mythology, the song was named Atlas.
@Teampeeta254 What makes this further interesting: Atlas and Katniss are both war generals, but on different sides - Atlas led the Titans against the rebelling Olympians, and being made to hold up the sky for all eternity was his punishment after the Olympians won the war; contrast with Katniss who takes on her burdens willingly to protect others.
