I think this song is about dying due to an illness of some sort .
When he says "toss me a breath when you hold me down" I think he's kind of being sarcastic or something, like he's saying to god 'give me a break while your killing me'
"Hot like a razor on my face" I think is him saying how it feels like the illness is just killing him like a blade to the throat.
In the second verse I think it's him saying how deep down the illness is killing him and I think he's talking about him dreaming of being a rock star and saying how now the dream seems silly. "Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair, boys are gonna hate the way I seem".
I think in the third verse he's basically talking about how now life seems meaningless and he's just waiting to die. "Feels like a fast or homeless sleep".
I'm not quite sure what the last verse is about. His mam's name is Betty Ann so I think he's definitely referring to her. I think it's kind of like a flashback or of what he's heard about his birth. His mam is very religious so it sounds like she was praying for the baby to survive the birth and that the baby was crying a lot. I think he's just kind of reflecting on life here. Like he's thinking about when he was being born because now he's dying.
That's just my interpretation anyway.
I always love reading into calebs lyrics.
