When I went to see Fidlar with Wavves and the Cheatahs, they played this song. Zac Carper explained that he wrote this song while in rehab. He says how he feels like a drug addict but yet still wants to "cook up a score". Zac talks about his friends and how he wants to be with them. I think the verse that stuck out to me was:
"I feel, feel like I'm a grandpa,
I feel, feel like I'm already 80 years old,
And my skin's so cold,
I need a new body and I need a new soul."
I feel like he is talking about how he feels without the drugs. And after all the stuff he has done to himself, he needs a new body. And after all the stuff he has been through with his addiction, he needs a new soul.
I really love Fidlar and their music. This song is probably one of my favorites besides 'White on White".
