I think according to the phrase "I'm just a shadow in the light you leave behind" I'm guessing somebody who is with a popular, bright sprited, shining girl. She leave a light of happiness. And the other person is just a shadow of what the other person is. They know they can't compare to that one they love. "All I need is time to change your Mind" they try to change there prospective on something. "It's not the part that your afraid to see" saying the future looks grim. They don't want to see the future that they are being led to. "No one will find you" they don't have the courage to speak up about there feelings so they will never be heard. No one will find then and help them.
