I think this song can relate to any kind of major struggle in a person's life. I think it is a lot about war though and definitely was a perfect song for the Hunger Games Catching Fire movie. Being a person who has fought depression, and suicidal thoughts, I can't tell you how much this song means to me. I think it represents your opinion on life... This is just my opinion. I don't know for sure at all of course what this song means.

I too have struggled through years of depression and have considered self-harm and suicide, etc. To me this song seems to sing directly to those experiences, ("I'll carry your world…and all your hurt").
