this song is the aftermath (life?) many of us share. Your first love, the one which so beautifully bores into your soul leaving you with your head forever glancing over your shoulder. 'Chained to the wall of our room'- you are forever in the world you once shared with them, unable to leave 'You were high when I was doomed'- because there is always the light person and the dark in the relationship in the sense that while one of you watches them shine with disbelief and awe, the other will slowly fade away from view, leaving the other in darkness once again 'I was younger then, I had nothing to spend my time on but you'- the consuming feeling of young love in a world where nothing else matters while you see the world through rose coloured lenses for a little while 'you made me love more' - after the initial first love, you search high and low for the same feeling, clinging on to any piece of a reminder of them you see in others, and falling for people as easy as anything in a sort of desperate search

a bittersweet echo which i will never forget.
