I can categorically tell you all that there is little to no meaning in these lyrics - I was a teenager when this was released and a big Duran Duran fan. Various band members were interviewed at the time about the meaning and they pretty much admitted that it's all complete nonsense; they just came up with a great tune and threw in pretty much any old lyrics that rhymed.
