I think this song is about the cycle of a toxic relationship. In the beginning the one person was open and honest with how they thought or felt and the other respected and admired it(or so they said) I think sundrenched world refers to the honeymoon phase where everything is perfect. As time goes on the one who was open and honest in the beginning is now living a life of regret because they fell for the manipulation. The line "it couldnt be worse, dont bother asking, here comes the nurse while im trying to bask in your sundrenched world just seems like so much has happened because of the manipulator and that they are so beat down by everything they now rely on medication to make it from one day to the next. I think the manipulators "world" is constantly changing and the other person cant seem to catch up no matter how hard they try.
