This song was used on the 10/24/13 episode of the tv show Scandal. Not sure it fit the scene, but it definitely made me want to hear it. I see it as the desperate plea of one half of a couple in a long term relationship, that is possibly coming to an end. The person singing wants to continue and is desperately expressing their feelings. I would guess that it probably does not end well.
