I like how on Wikipedia one reviewer said "unlike so many actor-turned-singer records, there's not a hint of vanity to this project". It's not a Christmas album (thank God), it's not pop crap, and it's not a publicity thing. It's just her singing what she wants to sing. The production is a bit too heavy, but that's not what's important. And besides, my dad always said it took a certain kind of person to appreciate Tom Waits. Her choice says enough.
