First, whatever the subject is, I think there are multiple narrators. In Trigger I've always assumed the verses are the depressed person and the chorus is God, and here it's more or less the opposite. As for the actual theme, I think it's another song about depression, or after reading the comments I think it could be religious. If it's religious, I think the chorus is a person who is losing faith, the first verse is an outsider, and the final verse is God, or something. I don't know. Anyway, what I can get is the chorus:
"I've come to realize
Every little glimpse, you fade
I was told that I could fly
When least expected, cloud connected"
The first line shows they are loosing faith, because they can't find God. The 3rd line shows they were let down with promises from religion. However, the fourth line seems to have bit of a different message, as it seems the suddenly came into contact with God, not while praying, but when they least expected it.
"You crossed the line
You remember my name
Time runs backwards
As long as you are heading that way"
This stanza really only makes sense from God's perspective, specifically with the line "You remember my name". It seems like God is chasticy his followers for remembering him, but not actually living his teachings by going too far, and now they are just bringing themselves away from him. However, the part the confuses me are the references to "we" as I don't see why God would say we.

Just noticed I confused Trigger with Take This Life.
