I always thought the song midnight rider was about a guy on a motorcycle, but I don't anymore, because I was out west in 1995 ran out of money in Salt Lake City Utah I hitch hiked to Amarillo Texas and ran into some tramps who ride freight trains and ended up riding a train out o Amarillo to Oklahoma stoped the night and the next night I caught another train to Memphis Tenn. It was quite and education. There a bunch of people who ride freight trains all the time. I interpet the lyrics now as this, bound to keep on ridin (trains) Don't own the cloth's I'm wearin ( these guys are always getting new used cloth's from the salvation army its quicker then triing and cheaper to throw out the dirty ones they have. Not gonna let them catch me no ( they have people who just walk the cars of the sitting or arriving trains looking for these guys. I met this guy named hobo who said you can get 10 to 30 days if they get you. I wont picture a guy on a bike anymore.
