I think you're close, but I feel like the "psycho" is the main character, as he may have been pushed over the edge by some sort of bully. The "Circus" is what the main character uses as a metaphor for the fight with the bully. Since it is a circus FOR THE psycho, I would personally assume that he has lost it and will destroy and torture this figure who has harmed him.
