When I listen to this song...I think it's about drifting apart from someone you love. At first, it's devastating and you think about crazy things like hurting yourself. Then, you become filled with inspiration and take your life back into your own hands, with pride. And then you may even witness the person you loved, who denied you, lack conviction and not able to experience the deeper love you know you're capable of giving...and feeling satisfaction in that. Great song, one of my favorites.
