hey folks,
I like the song, can anybody help me understanding the meaning of the chorus?
English is not my native language...
"She brings me hangover hugs and calm down kisses"
I guess this means she's there for you when you drank too much or being upset about something... right?
"She is my first and my last"
This leaves room for interpretation, maybe she is my first and my last lover.
"She’s on my hits & my Mrs."
I have no fucking clue what's that about... who can help me?
I'm fairly certain it's actually come-down kisses. So she is there for him when he has drank too much (hangover hugs) or done too many drugs (come-down kisses). "She is my first and my last" could mean what you interpreted it as, or it could be something like "She's my first real love and my last lover." I have another disagreement about the lyrics on the last line. I think it's "She's all my hits and my Mrs." The line is a play on the phrase "hits and misses," used to describe successes and failures. So she represents his success...

So she represents his success and she's his wife ("Mrs. Turner," presumably).
@anyworse Protocoach has it mostly right. He's actually not married, and I believe this is his bittersweet dream girl. Most of his songs are stressed and depressed, but I think he wrote this one as an upper. Meaning he's looking forward to having a woman like this someday.
