i agree. this song about a chick who sleeps with a guy thats a total douche. but in a way, i think its deeper than that. look at the title of the song "anti-pleasure dissertation" the definition of a dissertation is:” a long essay on a particular subject, esp. one written as a requirement for the Doctor of Philosophy degree.” so with that said, look at the way the whole song is written. She’s rambling on (much like an essay) its almost as if this wasnt the first time she's felt that way about someone before. she keeps falling for "that type" and really just hates the fact that although this next guy seemed different he ended up being a total (pardon my language) fucktard just like the rest, but she's still into him. like its something that keeps happening to her. "I just don't know if was I wrong to trust anyone" and "i dont care. i dont care..." she really does care, but she's trying to put up a front in order to save face and stay tough. she wants to give up and say fuck it! although im a bit of a masochist because this is my pleasure, im "anti-pleasure" and this is my "dissertation" i graduate from all this mess... but ends the song with "Maybe I like you. Maybe I do" because she knows, even though she wants to tell this guy to fuck off she's still, not yet, as strong as she wants to be.
