Well, it's a little sad that she didn't recognize him at all until he showed his half of the ring, don't you think? Seven years is a long time, but not long enough for someone to change that much I'd hope.
@epiwoosh It was also night (or dusk, at least), and they didn't have street lights in those days -- they barely had streets as we know them!
