I think it means that even in his hard times in life he didnt give up. Even in critical situations he managed life. He is not like other ones, who would give life up, if they were in his situations.
Someday the sun will show its face again. Someday life becomes better. But i don’t think that he only talk about the problems in his homeland Somalia, I think its meant generally. I think its meant for all life situations, that he was going through.
