It's a beautiful open letter to Laurie Allen, explaining that he loves her and although all this time has past he can't get over what he missed out on, he still wishes they could be together and she's still the inspiration to his songs. Despite the fact he wishes to see her, he knows after all he's been through and how he's changed physically and mentally, she'd be perplexed at what she saw if they met again and her mind would be contorted as to what to think about him and how to engage him.
