I believe there are some verses that are wrong here, but not all of them I can hear any better, but in any case the chorus should probably be:
"Show me the wonder
I have seen the birthplace of the(ir?) (my?) universe
Show me the wonder
I have seen their records move in reverse"
and "When we look into the mirror
Staying so patient"
Also "but I'm true to what ails" is most certainly incorrect, but I haven't the foggiest idea what he's singing there.
