The lifestyle in these songs she is singing about, is so far removed from the teenagers reality because of the extravagantes of the lifestyles portrayed that they know it is 'bullshit'. In fact these teenagers are happy with their lot and crave a 'different kind of buzz. Time with friends. It is saying that even though these songs is not reality, it is fun to fantasise.
